Series Description

FNIHB Telehealth in collaboration with Technical Services Advisory Group (TSAG) and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) presents a new Aboriginal learning series centered around the CBC Documentary 8th Fire. This series will explore each of the episodes in the documentary, while sparking discussions on the topics each session brings forward.

Session 7 will be a discussion of the cultural significance of the land for the Indigenous People of Canada.  Join us as we explore the importance and cultural significance of land. Our speaker Hal Eagletail will discuss how the land is used in cultural ceremony and the necessity of land to preserve First Nations traditions. We will also discuss the importance of First Nations' role as caretakers of Mother Earth.
